![]() This past summer, when Nache made the jump to a completely digital design process, he decided to design something close to the heart. However, when Nache isn’t illustrating some shred-worthy board art, he’s keeping himself busy with his own passion projects. Much of Ramos’s vintage comic book art adorns surfboards for the “shrednecks” over at Wi-Me Snowboards. Interestingly, this design aesthetic matches up perfectly with the attitude of skate-, surf-, and snowboarders alike. Additionally, the use of halftone patterns and washed out colors give the designs depth and timelessness. Nache’s impeccable illustrations juxtapose beautiful vintage comic book art with sardonic overtones and gritty grunge textures.
